Weekend Wanderings – 12th & 13th October

Oktoberfest time, beer drinking and World Cup Rugby, the more you get out there the more festivities you can handle. Interesting times for the rest of the world cup, there are no easy games left on the table for any of the teams in the quarters, so this will be compulsory watching from here on in. Start to get some fishing in, bass are biting. Come visit us at our shop Something Used opposite Midmar Dam gates to find those furnishings to finish your house.

iNsingisi Night Trail Run – Sat 12th (night time) Eston http://www.roag.co.za/eventinfo.aspx?EventID=2965

This looks like fun, 10 km (R150) and 5 km (R150) night races for Halloween, run from the iNsingisi Lodge through the forests for a thrill, would be great for a family outing. Dinner is included in the fee, so pre-booking is a must.

Blythedale Trail Run – Sun 13th (Blythedale) https://kzntrailrunning.co.za/races/coastal-series-blythedale-trail-run/

This is part of the summer Coastal trail series organised by KZN Trail Running, always well organised and well attended, great place to run through forest trails, sugar cane fields and along the beach. 6 km (R105), 12 km (R145) and 20 km (R180) as usual, this is your chance to get those longer trail runs in, nice relaxed atmosphere and no huge hills and no pressure. Trail running at the coast is special and this should be on everyone’s list this weekend.

Durban City Surf Run – Sun 13th (Durban)  https://runnersguide.co.za/pages/calendar/races_in_sa/RacesInSA.aspx?RaceNo=1500059187

Starting from Blue Lagoon, this will be a quick sprint (or jog) up and around the beach front area, good for before Sunday Breakfast.

Remember, your health is easy, stick with natural products that your body can assimilate easily, boost your immune system this time of year with natural superfoods (Moringa etc.) and fight those aches and pains, as well as skin conditions, with the Full Spectrum healing elixirs and salves available.

Environmental health, particularly this year is becoming more important, NO LITTERING, the roads are looking quite disgusting around KZN and the winds this time of year spread it around, do not dump on the side of the road, take responsibility for your own mess, it is very easy and leaves the area a pleasure to run and cycle in.

The drought this year is real, no word from any public departments as they are busy fighting for money from our fiscus instead of doing their jobs, but the water situation is going to be bad this year unless big rains, so do not destroy our water sources with pollution and do not waste.

Get out there and have a gas.
